Testimonials

My mum has settled really well, even to the point where she sometimes refuses to go far from the home or go out at all! The care and consideration extends to the family too and we will never regret our decisions made to live at the home on Mum’s behalf“.  – Resident’s Daughter

My mother has lived here for 18 months. We are both extremely happy with the care given and all the staff are friendly, caring and maintain a professional attitude. The activities and entertainment there are excellent and appear to cater for all. – Resident’s Daughter

At Llanyravon Court Care Home in Cwmbran we pride ourselves on offering a wide range of activities for mind, body and soul. Our dedicated activity team provide lots of stimulus for residents living in the home. Our daily program is filled with activities such as arts and crafts, baking, bingo, karaoke and chair aerobics. There are also relaxing actives such as one to one conversation, book clubs and gardening. Each month our team compose a new plan based on the needs, wishes and preferences of our residents.

Our Christmas & Summer parties are a special highlight of the year, especially because residents, relatives, colleagues, and friends gather together in celebration. These events draw people together and remain a talking point throughout the year.

We love to include relatives and friends in our activities and often use FaceTime & Video to help promote contact with family and friends who aren’t able to visit. Connecting family and friends always brings a welcome smile!

Specialist Equipment

Within the home, we have ceiling hoists in several of our bedrooms. We also have them in communal areas. These are for residents that need support transferring from one setting to another. Alongside this, we do have extra mobility aids. We use these to support everyone based on their needs.

A new call bell system supplied by Courtney Thorne has recently been installed within the home. It is accessible to all residents and staff. It has distinct sounds to differentiate assistance and emergency calls. The call bell system enables us to locate the alarm and ensures fast reactions to all that need our help.

Working In Partnership

At Llanyravon we work in strong connection with many partners. These include our local health board, local authority and CIW. Ensuring the health & well-being of the individuals that reside with us is our priority. As part of our activities programme, we have developed relationships with local schools. They visit our residents from time to time, taking part in activities bringing a smile to the young at heart.

Our Rooms

Llanyravon Court has 52 aesthetically pleasing rooms that range from £850 – £1000 per week. Rooms are priced dependent on size & facilities such as ensuite bathrooms.

We aim to make everyone’s room as homely as possible and encourage residents to dress their room with photographs, artwork, and décor to bring a homely experience to their surroundings.
