Christmas at Firs Nursing Home in Taunton!
What an exciting ” joyous” time we have had during the month of December at Firs Nursing Home in Taunton.
We started the month of December with decorating our home. Marion our lovely housekeeper was so busy decorating our home with lovely shades of gold, silver, red and green ready for Christmas. Sparkly tinsel, glittery baubles and festive trees certainly make it feel a lot more like Christmas!
Christmas tree donation
We would like to say a massive thank you to Joshua Enright for kindly donating us a beautiful real tree. Our residents really enjoyed decorating it. They used tinsel, glittery baubles, shiny beads all in shades of blues, pinks, greens, reds, silvers – every colour of the rainbow! To finish the tree off, our carer, Clare bought each resident a personalised tree decoration. These were made by 2 little boys have been making to raise money for a charity called the rainbow children’s trust. Head over to our Facebook page www.facebook.com/thefirsnursinghome for pictures and the video

Christmas word puzzles and quiz’s
We have been having so much fun completing Christmas word searches and crosswords. Whilst together in a group, we discussed things relating to Christmas and we reminisced of past Christmas times. We would like to thank a kind lady from our local community who donated to us some Christmas work sheets of quizzes and word puzzles. Our residents certainly enjoyed doing them.
