Christmas at Crick Care Home in Monmouthshire

Christmas at Crick Care Home in Monmouthshire was a time filled of hope and blessings for us all.  Being able to share the time together was a privilege for all us staff at Crick.  Even though loved ones could not visit, we loved being able to connect with everyone virtually. All the staff here at Crick would like to say a sincere huge thank you to all that showed us kindness with gifts and treats.  It was very much appreciated.

All be it a different experience for us all this Christmas we found peace in the fact that we were all here together and safe. It was a month of reflection on things we all cherish.  The special Christmas messages sent into our residents from friends and relatives reminded us how loved we all are.  www.golden-care.co.uk/homes/crick-care-home/

Our dining room has had a makeover and the new modern look has been a breath a fresh air for all of us.  The Visitors pod has been re painted to add an extra feature to the room.  We look forward to showing the whole finished room off as soon as we can.

Birthdays at Crick Care Home in Monmouthshire

Birthdays were celebrated this month and Marilyn enjoyed her day very much especially the delicious cake specially made by our talented Sally in the kitchen.

Cards, gifts, fun and kindness this Christmas at Crick.

Receiving lovely Christmas cards from the pupils at Usk primary school brought some lovely smiles to our residents faces.  The very talented and kind students had made a card for every resident.  They were greatly received by all.

Christmas day saw a visit for the big man himself! Our very talented carer James took on the role this year and made everyone’s day extra special.  James brought laughter and happiness which could be heard throughout our home.  He is a special team member going above and beyond to bring happiness in difficult times to all he cares for.

New Year’s Eve was celebrated with a wine and cheese evening.  As we go into 2021,  we are looking forward to many celebrations.  This includes our amazing carer Sally Trott.  Sally has been here with us at Crick for 20 years.  Sally is an outstanding carer who is very much appreciated and a great asset to our team.  We look forward to many more years working together.
