The activities department at Crick Care Home are hard at work, throughout the year they have a full program of events and activities to promote health and well-being amongst residents.

We have mentally stimulating quizzes, bingo, arts and crafts, and movement to music – which helps encourage mobility. We also have entertainment from local musicians and schools, as well as whole host of creative activities to suit the diverse abilities of our residents. We have a beautiful garden at Crick Care Home which is lovingly maintained by the residents themselves.

We have some wonderful volunteers who regularly read stories, play piano, and provide pet therapy for residents. Alongside our group activities, we also spend time with residents individually, making sure they get the focused support they need.

To help residents settle in quickly we ask them, or a family member, to complete our ‘This Is Me’ booklet. The booklet helps us understand our residents, find out about their likes and dislikes, and uncover the hobbies and interests they had before moving in.

We’ll be posting regularly about what’s happening in the home. In the meantime, why not take a look at some of our recent pictures…
