May at Crick Nursing Home in Caldicot

The month of May at Crick Nursing Home in Caldicot, began with a cold and almost wintery start. Residents and staff were all so eager to embrace the lovely outdoors. We all waited patiently for the sunshine to make an appearance. At long last, the sun showed itself, and the Residents have been enjoying the fresh air, sitting out on the patio relaxing and reading ever since.

Visiting at Crick

Visiting restrictions have slowly been lifted! Therefore, two designated visitors can come to Crick at the same time. We have also used our Pod and have had garden visits here and there. With the summer weather being with us, we will have more and more garden visits. These will have fewer restrictions and will allow more visitors can attend.

Many surprise visits have also taken place! Our fabulous Resident Elvira had the opportunity to see her long time friend Sheila in the garden. The staff worked hard to keep this a secret. Elvira was so pleased and surprised.

Birthdays at Crick Nursing Home in Caldicot

We have celebrated many birthdays this month. This includes the incredible 106th Birthday for Joy. This lovely lady isn’t a fan of a huge fuss, but how could be let such a big birthday pass by without any celebration!? We had a tea party with delicious cakes. These were supplied courtesy of our Nurse Assistant Karen, who is a fabulous baker. The Residents enjoyed some music, some wine (albeit non-alcoholic) and some fresh strawberries.
