Salary: £8.24 /hour

  • To action the individual care plans for each resident and ensure checks are made as required.
  • To assist residents who need help with their personal toilet including bathing, washing and all aspects of their personal hygiene.
  • To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
  • To help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence; to help in use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • To notify the person in charge immediately of any matter vitally affecting the well-being of residents and the Home.
  • To actively encourage residents, according to their capabilities to participate in all aspects of daily living.
  • To make and change beds, empty commodes and deal with soiled linen and clothing.
  • To prepare simple food and drinks and where necessary assist or feed residents who need help.
  • To answer emergency bells, the front door and the telephone and to greet visitors.
  • To assist, dress or change clothing of residents where necessary.
