The UK remains in the containment phase of tracing coronavirus cases to prevent it spreading in the community. Golden Care is committed to ensuring our residents and staff are kept as safe as possible and taking into consideration the rising number of cases in the UK, we have decided to take the preventative measure to stop all non-essential visits to our care homes with immediate effect.
We are therefore asking all visitors, including family and friends to restrict visits to loved ones until further notice, while we develop some guidance and protocols around safe visitation in order to keep your loved ones as safe and protected as possible. This includes stopping all visits from external organisations such as schools and nurseries.
Essential visits such as from medical specialists or buildings maintenance, should it be required, will continue following strict infection control procedures.
We would like to thank you for your continued support in what has been a difficult decision to make but please be reassured we are closely following and complying with the Public Health Authorities to ensure we keep our residents safe and give our staff the support to deliver our continued and excellent quality of care.
We will continue to monitor the situation, so please check this space regularly for any updates.
