January at Crick was a month of reflection on what is important to our residents, focussing on their views and what they like!
We first held a tea party where we discussed dignity and what it means to them. We achieved an amazing result in creating a dignity tree with the main focus points that they wanted to inform the staff on what was important to them. It was a lovely afternoon and showed a real insight into our resident’s desires, many of which we are already delivering on.
We also enjoyed some musical entertainment to ensure there were no January blues in our home! We held a baby shower for our dearly loved carer Courtney and had some fabulous balloon models made by the entertainer at the shower.
We move into February focusing on our first residents’ and relatives’ coffee morning and creating kindness cards for our friendship scheme. We will also be beginning our new project of delivering gifts and cards to residents in another local care home.
Until next month, we hope you will enjoy looking through the photographs taken over January!
