It has been an eventful month for us where we certainly celebrated the magical season in style!
From a family party with a delicious buffet created by our great chef and kitchen staff, to visits out to a local school to see Christmas plays, a wonderful raffle raising over £300 for the residents’ activities fund and even a visit from the main man himself!
Concerts and Carols
We have enjoyed many afternoons with lots of school children from within our local community. Trellech and Shirenewton both came along with various aged children and performed some beautiful carols and interacted with our truly wonderful residents. Keith and Michael have also given us some festive concerts that had all the residents and staff dancing their socks off! The local choir, ukulele and harp groups have all added to the atmosphere and helped fill our home with warmth and laughter.
The New Year
We are kicking off the New Year and 2020 with a mission to raise the money for a Snoezelen Sensory Station Unit for the home, which will be very exciting! Our target is to raise £1450, and we have already been granted £200 by our local community council of Caerwent, bringing our current total up to £400 so be sure to keep an eye out for some upcoming events to help us raise even more!
Happy New Year!
