We have had another fun-packed month here at Crick!

The Literacy Club has been going well, and this month, we have been reading Dorothy’s diary entry of her blustery walk taken along the edge of Ullster Lake. We have also enjoyed lovely visits from Bishpool Choir and Howard Jackson, who have all brought some lovely music to our home!

We celebrated the Harvest Festival with a wonderful service led by Reverend Waters with hymns and readings from our residents. Our favourite was most definitely ‘We Plough The Fields And Scatter’. We also collected donations for our local food bank to help our community in need.

Birthday celebrations have been great this month, and we always enjoy spoiling our amazing residents who have all been tucking into the delicious cakes made by the kitchen!

Our autumn season has also got off to a great start – we have all enjoyed creating our autumn display in the lounge as we now move onto getting into the Halloween festivities.

Coming up soon

Our amazing staff are taking part in the Pen y Fan Sponsored Walk Challenge to raise funds for our residents to have some Christmas trips out. Here at Crick we really are a family that cares for one another and our community which is why we are continuing to strengthen our community ties with a special Christmas service planned as well as visiting our local primary school to enjoy the Christmas showcase. We would like to thank everyone who has helped donate towards this trip with their sponsors so far and hope that even more will help support the team taking on the challenge.
