Garden visits return

So, we kicked off our garden visits this month here at Crick Care Home in Caldicot with the new garden visit outdoor area! It has been amazing to welcome you all and see you re-unite with your loved ones. We would like to say a huge thank you for your great feedback and appreciation, although the joy of seeing you all has been the only gift we need.  For more information on how we are managing visits contact us via our website www.golden-care.co.uk/homes/crick-care-home/

Line Dancing in the Sun

The talented line dancers of Noreen’s group gave us an afternoon of delightful entertainment.  Although socially distanced, brought smiles to all our faces here at Crick. It was made even better by the glorious sunshine.

Thanks Erin!

Activities at Crick Care Home in Caldicot

The kind-hearted and amazing Erin, who many of you know is the podiatrist.  Erin gave up an afternoon of her busy schedule to come along and sing for us in the garden. She is so loved by all staff and residents here and we really feel honoured that she enjoys coming to us as a friend and entertaining us with her talents.

Birthday celebrations at Crick

Birthdays at Crick Care Home in Caldicot

Celebrating birthdays here at Crick Care Home in Caldicot, is our favourite thing to do and we have had plenty this month! The residents and staff have all enjoyed some rather tasty cakes made by the kitchen staff. Katie, Mary and Elvira enjoyed their specials days with plenty of smiles.

Sensory Machine helping mental health

The sensory machine is up and is making a huge impact on helping with all our mental wellness.  It brings calm to the lounge as well as the fun of choosing what colours should we chose next.

Early start with Christmas at Crick

Our staff morale is buzzing with our Christmas card project underway (we can’t believe it either!). Staff are helping to make cards that can be sold to help in our fundraising mission.  Karen, one of our staff members  has said, “it’s great to be involved and love being part of the team!”

We recently received this lovely message from the Thurgar family that we found heart-warming in honour of their amazing father’s care:

“To all at Crick, your love, care, support and friendship to us has been remarkable and we cannot thank you enough for the amazing care you gave to our dad.”

Peter was a kind, funny member of the family here at Crick and will be sadly missed by all.

Next month is set to bring more visits, more fun and games and more smiles!  You can keep up with these on our website page www.golden-care.co.uk/homes/crick-care-home/ or on facebook,  www.facebook.com/crickcarehome so like us if you can!
