Easter was celebrated in a different way this year and although we all missed seeing our lovely friends and relatives, we had an extra special guest appear on Good Friday with gifts for all. Our lead nurse Hayley, along with the activities team, ensured that every resident received a gift and a chat with the Easter bunny, bringing smiles and sounds of laughter throughout the building! We hope you all had a lovely Easter too!
The weather has been amazing, and we have enjoyed many afternoons sitting outside in the lovely gardens, whether doing quizzes, reading or just simply chatting with friends. Our flowers are blooming and bringing bursts of colour all over which are keeping spirits high and lots of cheer. We have recently added our garden gazebo for some shade during the hot weather which has been a fantastic addition to our outside space!
We love a birthday and we celebrated Joan’s birthday this month. As always, the talented kitchen staff made sure she had her favourite birthday cake – a homemade lemon cake that really did taste as good as it looked.
